Classes
We are dedicated to providing authentic classical and modern yoga. First and foremost, we aim to provide a welcoming, kind and holistic place where our community of students feel at home. All styles of yoga classes we offer:
- Increase flexibility & range of motion
- Improve circulation
- Relieve tension and stiffness
- Calm the mind reducing stress
- Enhance breath awareness & vitality
Gentle Flow
Slow paced movement that allows for breath and body awareness sets the tone for Gentle Flow.
Low impact stationary poses, transitional poses and slow flowing movement with breath allow the practitioner time to align internally and externally.
Routines provide a balance of effort and ease, strength and flexibility. Modifications are encouraged so that students build foundational awareness of the postures.
The class will naturally begin with warming up, then move into increased mindful movement, and slowing down again to more restorative floor-based poses before relaxing into savasana for relaxation and integration.
Suitable for all levels and Beginners.
Dynamic Flow
Slightly more demanding than our Gentle Flow classes, Dynamic Flow is a stronger flow that focusses more on building strength. Corresponding movement and breath-work along with faster paced transitions and Vinyasas increase heat in the body while also contributing to flexibility and strength. Focus on breath and movement helps quiet mental chatter and increases presence. This is an invigorating practice with multiple benefits to core strength, flexibility, circulation, and self awareness.
Previous yoga experience is recommended.
HATHA
Perhaps the “slowest” style of yoga, Hatha is a gentle, mindful practice focused on more static poses. By gently holding each pose, the practitioner has time to focus on the fundamentals of alignment and breath and creates a great foundation for other yoga practices.
Hatha is highly adaptable to full range of body types and fitness levels. It can feel very meditative and less strenuous than other more dynamic styles.
As in all classes, modifications and props may be used to accommodate beginners or individuals with specific needs. Hatha is easily inclusive and accessible to everyone. It cultivates balance, self-awareness and a peaceful state of mind.
No previous experience required.
YIN
Yin is a slow and passive, meditative style of yoga that involves holding postures for extended periods, typically ranging from 3 to 5 minutes.
Most poses in yin are floor based and use props to help support the body. The primary focus of yin yoga is on targeting the connective tissues, such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia, as well as accessing deeper layers of muscles. Yin coaxes the body and mind into a calm state providing relief to the nervous system.
The practice allows you to slow down, relax, and turn inward, which helps alleviate stress and restore your energy levels. Yin yoga also improves flexibility, boosts circulation, and reduces tension.
No previous yoga experience required.
